Challenges
When Britton Electric implemented its new enterprise resource management (ERP) system, there were holes created in systems, such as payroll, that had been filled by the legacy system. Because payroll accounted for over half of Britton’s operating expense, the company knew any future payroll software would need to integrate with their new ERP. After further research, Britton discovered Criterion HCM.
Solutions
While Criterion’s integration capabilities were an initial point of interest for Britton, it was quickly obvious that the technology was more advanced than some of the other vendors being considered. Criterion’s ease of usability, various dashboards and extensive data provided quickly helped prove that Criterion offered a solution and much more.
“Payroll is half of our cost in our business, more than that, and 80% of our workforce is unionized. We need some intricacies with that. Criterion met most of those needs we had.” - Joe Vinski, Director of Finance at Britton Electric
Results
Six months after partnering with Criterion, Britton praises Criterion’s user-friendly interface, ease of searching capabilities, data-capture capabilities and speed. “Certain things in our existing system were very slow from a processing standpoint,” says Joe Vinski, director of finance, Britton Electric. Criterion has helped speed up the process.
In an industry filled with complexities, Criterion and Britton have partnered to find customized solutions to bridge the gaps between legacy and updated systems. As Britton prepares for its next ERP system update, the company looks forward to the future with Criterion.
“We had the support that we needed … which was nice. Like we weren’t left on the side. They were supportive all the way through, which was definitely a big plus.” - Joe Vinski, Director of Finance at Britton Electric
